Calling for new applications for polytechnic programs 2018/19

Rwanda polytechnic (PR) informs the prospective applications that the online system for receiving the applications for polytechnic programs to be offered in all Colleges during the academic year 2018/2019 is now open. This will remain open until midnight for 18th June 2018.

•          Integrated Polytechnic Regional College (IPRC) Kigali, based in Kicukiro districrt

•          Integrated Polytechnic Regional College (IPRC Karongi, based in Karongi districrt

•          Integrated Polytechnic Regional College (IPRC Huye, based in Huye districrt

•          Integrated Polytechnic Regional College (IPRC Musanze, based in Musanze districrt

•          Integrated Polytechnic Regional College (IPRC Ngoma, based in Ngoma districrt

•          Integrated Polytechnic Regional College (IPRC Tumba, based in Rulindo districrt

•          Integrated Polytechnic Regional College (IPRC Kitabi, based in Nyamagabe districrt

•          Integrated Polytechnic Regional College (IPRC Gishari, based in Rwamagan districrt

Minimum entry requirements

At least 16 point for TVET schools and 18 points for general education with at least 2 principal subjects.

Go online to Rwanda polytechnic website (www.pr.ac.rw) or you can directly go to application.rp.ac.rw click on register button, fill and submit the form to obtain an account and application code which will be sent to your email. Please use a valid email. Check

Applications for admission are submitted through the admissions portal http://application.rp.ac.rw/

Guidelines to applicants

Go to Rwanda Polytechnic website (www.rp.ac.rw) or you can directly go to application.rp.ac.rw

Click on “Register” button, fill and submit the form to obtain an account and application code which will be sent to your email. Please use a valid email.

Check your email for application code and instructions on how to make application payment. Payments must be made using the application code and not your names. Your payment will be processed instantly.

After payment, log into the system and continue with your application by clicking on the button Proceed.

Fill all the fields on the application form, ensuring that you attach the necessary supporting documents. (Note: applicants who sat 2017 WDA exams only have to fill index number used for national exams and the aggregate field will be auto filled on the form. All other applicants have to attach their result slips.)

Click on Submit Application to submit your application.

Application Fee and procedure

A non-refundable application fee of 5,000Rwf must be paid.

Application fee can be paid either using mobile money by dialing *720# and choosing Menu Number 4, for “Rwanda Polytechnic” and follow instructions. (Enter Application Code, then Confirm, and then proceed to authorize transaction. Then you will get a confirmation message once successful.). You can pay through Cogebanque on account no. 002-1390199483-52 of Rwanda Polytechnic.  Please ensure that you make payment using your application code, generated through the system and not your names.

Other requirements:

•         Scanned copy of your passport

•         Scanned copy of your national ID

•         Scanned copy of your result slips only for students who didn’t sit from WDA in 2017

 •         Note: All the scan must be in jpg, png or jpeg form
