The Visit of the World Bank Country Manager at IPRC West
Mr Yasser El- Gammal, the Country Manager of the World Bank Rwanda since February 2016, accompanied by Wilson MUYENZI, Skills Development Project Manager, visited IPRC West on this November 16th,2016.
Mr. Yasser El-Gammal visited IPRC West as one of the six institutions constructed, rehabilited and equipped by the Skills Development Project, under WDA (SDP is one of the projects sponsored by the WB in partnership with the government of Rwanda) to learn about the progress of the training in the said institution.
He appreciated the progress of training in the funded trade (Hospitality and Construction) where SDP built and equipped a Hospitality Block and four workshops (Electrical installation, Masonry, Carpentry and Plumbing).
“Really wonderful work of building the future of the young people of Rwanda. World Bank is proud to have partnered with you,” said the Yasser El- Gammal.
El-Gammal urged the institution to keep in touch with graduates in follow up on their employments.
Odette Murebwayire (V.Principal of Administration and finance) who hailed these visitors said it was of great pleasure to have partners who follow the progress on the sponsored projects and provide reliable advice.
Over a 1000 students from all trades in IPRC West benefit from this fund and they focus to use the acquired skills to improve the quality of the service delivery in their future duties.
This is visit of the WB Country Manager comes after other recent one of the World Bank staff( Hiroshi Saeke (Economist and SDP Task Team Leader) and Karthika Radhakrishnan (Operations Analyst) .
